Aidan “Woody” Woodward (he/him)
Head Counselor
First Year at Camp: 2010 (Started as a camper)
Bit About Me: I am a Baltimore native and Maryland has always been my home. I love to cook and try new things in the kitchen, and I’m quite possibly coffee’s biggest fan (you’ll always see me with a coffee in hand on those early camp mornings!). I love to listen to all kinds of music, so share some of your favorite songs with me at Camp this year! I am also a student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where I’m majoring in computer science. This also means I’m Camp’s unofficial tech guy! I was diagnosed with T1D in 2006 on my third day of kindergarten. After attending other diabetes summer camps, I finally found Camp Possibilities in 2010, and I knew right away that it was different. Over the years, I’ve made so many dear friends and memories that will stick with me forever!
Memory: My favorite Camp memory is when I lip-synced the song “Mr. Brightside” with my entire cabin at the Camp talent show during my first year at Camp. My amazing med staff got us some fun t-shirts and did our hair to make us look like a rock band and, although it wasn’t a competition, we certainly stole the show!
