New Family Day is an event designed to provide more information about Camp Possibilities and Type 1 Diabetes to newly diagnosed families and families who are new to diabetes camping or Camp Possibilities. Even if you are not new to diabetes or Camp Possibilities, you can still attend this event.

We will have two programs in separate rooms: a Caregiver Program and a Camper Program. Caregivers will get the opportunity to learn about Camp and how we operate while also learning more about life with T1D and connecting with other caregivers! For the campers, we will have arts and crafts, board games, indoor games, and other activities led by our volunteers. Your child will get to meet other children with T1D and interact with our wonderful staff, many of whom have type one themselves and were campers at Camp Possibilities. Siblings are encouraged to join us, as well, and they get to connect with other siblings impacted by T1D.

Families will be responsible for all diabetes management, including monitoring and treating. Children will be escorted to their caregivers, as needed, by our experienced counselors and will be supervised at all times throughout the event.
